Thanks for coming back to visit. Don’t forget, I tweet now! You can follow me, if you feel so inclined to stalk! @shanstweets.
I am looking forward to a great year, filled with some pretty cool stuff! There’s a benefit concert coming up in January for Live2free (Live2free.org), and human Trafficking Awareness day is coming up on January 11th! I’m so excited to be partnering with some pretty awesome bands who are going to be playing at these events!!! More details to follow!
I can’t hardly believe Christmas has come and gone! I’ve just moved into a new place which I LOVE! However, the Christmas tree lights never resurfaced after the move, so we had a light-less tree, but it was decked out nonetheless! We took a beautiful walk down to the beach, in our sunny 80 degree weather! Did you hear that 2/3 of the USA got snow for Christmas! Holy Cow!! That’s crazy! So, I was super grateful for our sun-shiny day! I am a California girl for sure!
I’ve received lots of requests for a copy of my old CD……so, as requested, I just placed an order for some more. If you want to get your hand on one, just let me know! I can set one aside for you when they come in! And, the next CD of course is in the works!
The newest song on the list for the CD, I will be borrowing a quote from John G Paton, a pioneer missionary to New Hebrides (today’s Vanuatu). He had lost his wife and child, and was surrounded by hostile natives hiding in a tree. I was so humbled when I read his words
“The hours I spent there live all before me as if it were but of yesteday. I heard the frequent discharge of muskets, and the yells of the Savages. Yet I sat there among the branches, as safe in the arms of Jesus. Never in all my sorrows did my Lord draw nearer to me, and speak more soothingly in my soul……..Alone, yet not alone! If it be to glorify my God, I will not grudge to spend many nights alone in such a tree, to feel again the Saviour’s spiritual presence, to enjoy His consoling fellowhsip. If thus thrown back upon your soul, alone, all alone, in the midnight, in the bush, in the very embrace of death itself, have you a Friend that will not fail you then?”
Needless to say I was indescribably inspired, and I can’t wait for this song to be completeled and recorded! I can’t wait to share it with you!
Loves to you all, and Happy New Year!

I worked way up in Camarillo today. I decided to take the long way home, down the coast highway. It was GORGEOUS! I realized some things and did a lot of praying on the way. From all that praying came the motivation to get started tonight on the very primitive stages of record #2. It’s time to get in to a small enclosed space, that’s been soundproofed (most likely with blankets), and get down to this recording business. No more excuses.
If you think of it, please pray that we can get this new CD recorded soon! I have lots of new songs that I can’t wait to share! Thanks for praying and stay tuned! More music is on the way, via my closet.

Hey all!
First of all, thanks for checking out my new website! I’m excited to get the ball rolling again!
Over the last few years, I’ve been writing a ton of music and I cannot WAIT to get it recorded. Now it’s just about finding time, the right people and the right place! With 2 kiddos, it’s a bit tricky to find “extra” time!
I am also super passionate about fighting against human trafficking around the world and in my own community. Check out the Orange County Human Trafficking Task Force website. Look for it under ‘categories’ here on my site, should be on the right hand side of the page. I would LOVE for you to get involved too! Check out the site and see where you can do your part to help! (Isaiah 58:6).
Keep your ears open and your eyes peeled! I will be getting new music posted as soon as it is recorded. In the meantime, check out the newest recording. It’s a live version recorded at Refuge Huntington Beach’s Wednesday evening service (09-30-09) of “Safe in His arms”. I reworked an old Fanny Crosby hymn that was close to my heart lyrically. Let me know what you think!
Thanks for listening!

My first project is the culmination of 10 years of defeats & triumphs, setbacks & breakthroughs, happiness & sorrow. Life is about experiences, the good and the bad. Sometimes our life isn’t quite as rosy as we wished, hoped, and prayed it would be. I hope this record will encourage you to accept the good with the bad, knowing that it is all meant for a reason!
I am hoping to begin recording my next record sometime in 2009. I have been writing a lot of new stuff about just life in general, the salty and the sweet. I’m on a mission to encourage others that they MATTER to God! Whether you believe it or not, God has a purpose for your life, and He has GREAT things for you! Thanks for listening! Stay tuned!
Loves,
Shannon
